The Astrological Association of East Tennessee (AAET) was founded in April, 1992. Since then, the AAET has had monthly meetings from September through May and occasionally sponsored guest speakers. In January, 2008, the AAET added a second monthly meeting and began using Meetup.com under the name "Living Astrology."

Currently, Living Astrology Meetups are for all levels of astrological interest and background. However, in order to provide the best meetups for everyone, we have two meetups a month: one, (on the third Sunday of each month) aimed towards advanced beginners and above and another (on the first Saturday of each month) aimed towards beginners or for anyone who wants some review in the basics of astrology.

The Christmas Holidays are set at the Capricorn Solstice, as are many other sacred observances. The Solstice marks where the sign Sagittarius ends and Capricorn begins. Sagittarius correlates with fun, abundance, and plenty of good stuff. Jupiter, the Sag ruler, is closely akin to Santa.
